Harold C. Agbahiwe, M.D. received his undergraduate education at Princeton University and earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. After an internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Dr. Agbahiwe went on to complete a residency in radiation oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. During his time there, his research was presented at both national and international conferences, and he was the recipient of several awards, including the RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award, a Young Investigator Award from the Johns Hopkins Department of Radiation Oncology, and a HDR Brachytherapy Fellowship from the American Brachytherapy Society. He is board certified in radiation oncology and internal medicine.
Dr. Agbahiwe joins Virginia Cancer Specialists after serving on faculty at the Johns Hopkins Department of Radiation Oncology at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC. He holds memberships in multiple medical organizations, including the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He has also authored several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He is experienced in the treatment of all types of cancers using the most up-to-date radiation treatment techniques.
Dr. Agbahiwe is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality of care. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, music, and film. He is proficient in French.
