IT’S ABOUT YOUR HEALTH

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death among both men and women. Lung cancer screening is meant to find lung cancer at an earlier stage, when survival rates are better. What is Lung Cancer Screening? Lung cancer screening is a regular preventive health check, like a mammogram or a colonoscopy. A lung cancer screening checks your lungs while you are healthy and looks for any changes from year to year. If your doctor recommends lung cancer screening, it doesn’t mean he or she thinks you have cancer. In fact, most people who get screened do not have cancer.

From December 7–11, we ask communities, healthcare providers, employers and insurers to join us in helping everyone understand the benefits of early cancer screening. Here, you’ll find easy-to-use resources to help raise awareness and learn more about which screening tests may be right for you and those you love. for more information on Lung Cancer Screening, see below.
