About Ashleigh Cresswell
Ashleigh Cresswell is a certified and licensed Physician Assistant with a strong academic and clinical foundation in hematology and oncology. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Shenandoah University, where she also completed a capstone project focused on improving pediatric asthma care. Her clinical training includes a specialized elective at Inova Schar Cancer Institute, where she worked across multiple oncology subspecialties including GI, neuro-oncology, breast, and hematologic cancers.
Ashleigh brings prior experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she supported oncology trials and collaborated on large-scale research initiatives. Her clinical skills include a wide range of diagnostic and procedural competencies, from biopsies and cryotherapy to surgical assisting and advanced patient assessments.
She is an active member of the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants (VAPA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and has held leadership roles including VAPA Student Representative and co-founder of the SUPASS Journal Club. Ashleigh is passionate about delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and is especially drawn to the intersection of clinical practice and research in oncology.
