Biography

Miranda De Roos-Louden, PA-C, MPA, BIS is a Board-Certified Physician Associate and Oncology Research Advanced Practice Provider with more than 16 years of experience spanning clinical medicine, nursing, and global clinical research.

Her career has included leadership and collaboration across pharmaceutical sponsors, biotechnology companies, contract research organizations (CROs), consulting organizations, and investigative sites, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the clinical development process and the translation of scientific discovery into patient care. Her work across multiple therapeutic areas, including oncology, enhances her care of patients participating in clinical trials and receiving innovative cancer therapies.

Before becoming a Physician Associate, Miranda gained nearly two decades of military and civilian nursing experience caring for medically complex patients across emergency, critical care, inpatient, perioperative, and women’s health settings. Her diverse clinical background, combined with extensive oncology and clinical research expertise, provides a unique perspective in caring for patients with complex oncologic conditions. Her unique background allows her to bridge clinical research and patient care, helping translate scientific advances into meaningful treatment opportunities for patients.

Miranda believes exceptional oncology care extends beyond diagnosis and treatment. She considers trust, communication, and meaningful patient relationships essential components of care, helping patients and their families navigate some of life’s most challenging moments. She strives to ensure every patient feels heard, respected, informed, and empowered throughout their cancer journey.

Miranda earned a Bachelor of Individualized Studies from George Mason University, where she designed an interdisciplinary course of study focused on Medical Sciences, Clinical Research Management, and Public Health. She later earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) degree with a concentration in Clinical Leadership at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). Through her doctoral studies, she continues to advance the expertise needed to strengthen the integration of medicine and clinical research, improving outcomes for patients facing cancer.

Outside of work, Miranda enjoys spending time with her family and beloved Yorkie.
