I serve as the go-to for patients with complex cancer needs, who deserve quality and coordinated care. My focus is on the person, not any one disease. Providing the best care close to home is my highest priority.

As a graduate of the Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Sarma focuses on high-quality, attentive, and personalized care for the cancer patient. He currently leads an effort at Virginia Cancer Specialists to improve overall quality care for cancer patients. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. Dr. Sarma is a general oncologist with more than fifteen years of experience caring for patients with breast, colorectal, lung, prostate, lymphoma and head and neck cancer patients. Dr. Sarma joined Virginia Cancer Specialists after serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Regional Care Center in Sugar Land, TX.
Dr. Sarma enjoys travel, great food, photography, gardening, and music. He and his wife have three children.
