A reminder, Virginia Cancer Specialists is participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Light The Night Walk on Friday, October 12 in Reston Town Center.

We would like to ask for your support of the team – either by joining or donating to our fundraising page.
LLS is the single largest nonprofit contributor to blood cancer research – over $1.2 billion has been invested in life-saving research. Critical treatment innovations have originated through this blood cancer research – radiation, chemotherapy, stem cell transplantation, and new targeted therapies. In 2017 alone, there were 18 new blood cancer treatments approved by the FDA – and 15 of those were funded by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Nearly 50% of all FDA approved cancer drugs in the past decade were for blood cancer. Many are now being tested for other cancers and other illnesses.
