Please call your physician’s office before coming in for your appointment if you have symptoms of a cough, fever, or difficulty breathing; traveled to Europe or China or other areas impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) within the past 14 days; been in close contact with someone who has traveled outside the U.S. to one of the impacted countries; or may have been exposed to the coronavirus.  For our patients protection, no visitors under 18 will be allowed in the offices, there is a limit one (1) visitor per patient if necessary. No visitors are allowed in the chemo infusion room. Our new office hours are: Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, if you have an appointment scheduled for after hours, our office will be contacting you directly to reschedule. Virtual appointments are now available for routine office visits.

For your safety and convenience under the current circumstances, our expert team may be able to see existing patients through scheduled virtual appointments on a secure platform. Virtual appointments are only available for certain types of office visits and cannot be used for emergency medical care.

Medicare and Medicaid are offering coverage similar to office visits for virtual appointments. Copays will apply.

If you are interested in utilizing a virtual appointment for your upcoming routine office visit, let a member of your care team know. Our helpful staff will then get you enrolled and assist you in scheduling and completing your virtual appointment.

Virginia Cancer Specialists is currently using the HIPPA Compliant VSee Messenger App to conduct virtual appointments.  There are instructions HERE on installing the app on a mobile device (e.g. phone, Tablet or computer). Please download the App prior to speaking with a physician, and test it. It would be helpful to have a caregiver download the app as well, to see if your video connection works prior to your actual appointment. Please see the instructional video below.
